No, really. Why?

:::sigh::: Why isn't Blogger publishing my updates?

The end of Buffy

Wow. That was--really, really good. Quite satisfying. Not perfect by any means, but close. I would certainly say it was one of the best series finales I have ever seen (I have a history of being burned in this regard--Twin Peaks, X-Files, etc.). Hit just the right notes, left the story open but didn't leave you hanging, and the good guys won. Thanks, Joss.

Now hurry up and finish "Fray."

A subject of great importance

Those of you who know me know that I am a simple girl, with simple tastes. Not for me the designer clothes, high-end cars with satellite tv, fancy caviar, or name brand wines, oh no. Boone's Farm Strawberry Hill does me just fine, thank you, and I brought my own paper bag to put it in, too! But there is one item on which I refuse to compromise. One product for which I will accept no substiute.

Toilet paper.

There is nothing--nothing in this universe--worse than bad toilet paper. Oh, sure, in some places you expect the wince-inducing, slightly gray, sandpaper-like stuff. Rest stops, fast-food places, any public place where you wouldn't use the bathroom if you didn't absolutely have to. But why oh why do some people actually purchase this stuff for use in their own home? Why suffer through the indignities of Scottissue, or Quilted Northern, or that horrible recycled stuff (I mean, we recycle everything in my home and you won't catch us using that), when there is Charmin to be had? And don't quibble with me about the price, I buy mine by the flatbed at Sam's, so I know there are deals to be had.

And I'm not talking just regular Charmin here, either, though it is certainly acceptable. No, I'm talking about Charmin Ultra. Unless you have Charmin with Aloe, which, although lacking the heft of Charmin Ultra, makes up for it with soothing aloe goodness.

Come on, people! Be nice to yourselves! Buy the good stuff!
