Note to self:

Do not forget to take your Celexa three days in a row.

To say my mood is black right now is an understatement. The fact that I have a whining, teething toddler (first molar) who doesn't want to let me use the keyboard right now isn't making things any better. To add to that, last night I learned that a friend of mine (really, more of my husband's), who I always knew was prejudiced, is an out-and-out racist. We had a bit of a screaming match, and it wasn't pretty. But man oh man, am I glad we didn't ask her and her husband to be our child's legal guardian.

New does not always mean good.

Our cable internet provider (which is changing ownership/names/my email address for the THIRD time since we have been customers) sent us a brand-new cable modem and said we needed to use it because the old one soon wouldn't be able to do something important, or something like that. I don't know what, but there was a letter and they said so. Plus, it was NEW! And therefore must be better, even though there was nothing wrong with the modem we had. So we installed it, and went through the rigamarole of getting it set up with the network, etc. And guess what? Now you have to powercycle the damned thing several times a day! It'll just drop the connection for no particular reason, sometimes after only 5 minutes! Which means I have to shut down the computer and reboot, and I'm sorry but that's a pain in my ASS, and probably not good for the computer anyway.

AAAARRRGGGHHH. And I can't do anything about it, because the account is in my husband's name, but he has to actually, oh, I don't know, WORK for a living, so it's not like he has the time to deal with this. So I powercycle away.

Dammit, why isn't DSL available in my neighborhood yet?!?
