Hoo boy.
My husband is at his friend's bachelor party tonight. All night.
I shudder to think what they are doing right now.

Yes, we're all still here
Fear not, oh two readers of mine. We are still here, still plugging away. There's just been nothing to report lately. Nothing. Zero. My family is not a terribly exciting one (unless you are into analyzing mental illness, then we're fascinating), you see, and mostly we just, well, exist.
But today we got to play outside again! Today it was not raining or snowing or unseasonably cold. No, today was lovely, so we went outside. We even walked to the park and played there. Junior had never been to the park before, so it was a little overwhelming. After a brief conference, we decided to stick to the Little Tykes gym, since it seemed to be best for him, and concentrated our activities there. After careful examination of all it had to offer, Junior decided he would be most happy playing in the dirty water that had collected in a depression in the gym. Lovely.
How about the little clubhouse underneath, son? Look, you can open the door and everything! No, no, the dirty water was enough for him. Until he went down the slide. He was a bit reluctant at first (and what sane person wouldn't be), until we just slid him down--not to worry, Mommy held onto him the whole way. Now, this was something he could get into. So he slid down the slide approximately 394 times. Then he went over to the swings, pushed one, and--surprise surprise--it came back and whacked him in the face before I could stop it. Poof. Playtime over.
Of course, he was too tired to walk back home, so I got to carry him. Now we're both going to take a nap, thankyouverymuch.
